Mickey Mouse Oreos

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

These are a great treat for a birthday party, special occasion, or just a fun weekend! They look adorable, but they’re simple to make – only three ingredients! I used Peppermint Joe Joe’s from Trader Joe’s for the Oreos because I am obsessed with them and they were available from the recent holidays, but any Oreos will do!

These do take some time and patience, but I’ve laid out the instructions below, and they’re worth it!

Servings 24 Cookies

Ingredients

  • One package Oreos or Trader Joe Joe’s
  • One bag miniature Oreos on or off brand
  • One bag red-colored white-chocolate melting wafers
  • Small bag of white chocolate

Instructions

  • Prepare ears by separating the miniature Oreos and taking out the filling so you just have single-sided, plain chocolate wafer cookies
  • Stick the mini wafers into the Oreos, pressing them gently into the filling, to create the look of the ears
  • Prepare a tray with parchment paper, and lay out the prepared Oreos to get them ready for dipping.
  • Pour the red melting wafers into a microwavable bowl. Microwave for 30 second increments, stirring between, until melted. Be careful to stir between each and gently, as white chocolate can burn easily. Go down to 5-10 second increments when almost melted.
  • Dip each Oreo halfway into the red melted chocolate, careful not to break off the ears.
  • Lay flat on the parchment paper (be careful to choose your side up wisely – you want the chocolate to be even on the front and the ears to be facing the way you prefer).
  • Continue until all Oreos have been dipped. Let dry completely.
  • Once dry, melt some white chocolate in the microwave the same way as above.
  • Once melted, take a piping bag, or toothpick, and pipe or place small white dots on the oreos, as shown above, to give the appearance of Mickey’s pants.
  • Let dry completely and enjoy!
